Story:
The national flag is rectangular, with the ratio of length to width of 19:10. It is a star spangled flag. The flag is made up of 13 red and white stripes. There are 50 white five pointed stars in the blue rectangle in the upper left corner. The 13 broad stripes symbolize the original 13 states of the United States at the time of independence. Fifty five pointed stars represent the current number of states in the United States. Red symbolizes strength and courage, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue symbolizes vigilance, perseverance and justice. Every year, June 14 is the anniversary of the establishment of the American flag.
